Behavioral Intervention Plan
A Behavioral Intervention Plan (BIP) is a plan that helps students improve behaviors that make learning difficult. It's created after a Functional Behavioral Assessment (FBA), which explains why the behavior is happening. A BIP includes simple, positive strategies to teach the student better ways to respond, clear goals, and steps for teachers and staff to follow. The purpose of the BIP is to give the student consistent support so they can succeed in both their learning and behavior.
